Principal's Message

 August 2020

Dear Utsalady Families,

A sincere welcome to all Utsalady families - both returning and new. Even though our summer plans were different than anticipated, I do hope you had a wonderful time as a family. I am looking forward to starting the 2020-2021 school year. We anticipate a great year of learning.

Your Utsalady staff is committed to providing your child with rich, engaging learning experiences. They are already hard at work preparing online materials, reviewing educational standards, and preparing for positive learning environments. As you all know - We love our students and look forward to seeing them.

This year your child will have regular google meets with their teacher and ongoing work in their SeeSaw or Google classroom. As a school we are committed to starting the year off by creating a positive classroom climate using many of the same activities we do when we are face to face. Teachers will also use our new social emotional curriculum Character Strong. I've added a few links about the program below.

I want to recognize that this is a stressful time for families. The uncertainty of things can bring about anxiety for kids and adults. Please know that we as a community want to support and partner with you this year. Our Utsalady Booster Club/Parent Group wants to support you too!

Next week I am hosting family zoom meetings for kindergarten as well as all school (invites below). You may have also seen family/parent training sessions on using SeeSaw and Google Classroom in the Friday Family Message.

Thank you for partnering with us this year. Please reach out if you need anything. We look forward to working together for the success of all of our UES Eagles!
